An overland vehicle can take you to places you won’t find in brochures. It is your mode of transport, your hotel room, your gourmet kitchen. It takes you to attractions that are not thronged with crowds; you pick a point on the map. And you just go.

There are places to see along the way, touchpoints of a bygone era, places that are being forgotten, treasures waiting to be discovered by those with the means – and the sense of adventure – to seek them out.

Meet Your Hosts

I’ve been camping, in one form or another, since childhood. I’m also an avid traveler who has been to every state in the lower 48, save one, but we’re going to remedy that later this year, stay tuned! A love of history, an avid foodie and lover of barbecue, I have always loved exploring some of the less-traveled corners of this amazing country.

Being able to combine my love of the outdoors with an interest in travel made overlanding a perfect fit. Join us on our travels as we explore America.

Ken

The brains behind this outfit. The accountant, the planner, the one who keeps us from winding up in Ecuador before I know something’s amiss. Susan is the one who keeps the trains running on-time, and ensures that everything is booked when we get there.

I never thought I’d get her out camping, but she has been the impetus behind is building out our vehicle(s) over the years, and is, in a lot of ways, the Batman to my Robin.

An avid foodie in her own right, a lover of campfires, and sipping good bourbon around them. She is going to be sure that we have plenty of adventures to talk about.
